A customer bought in this Microsoft Surface RT which had a cracked screen. The image was OK but the device was unusable because the touch-screen was sending ‘taps’ to the device in random places on the screen.
The replacement screen was £30 and I charged £20 labour to fit it. As it was the first Surface RT I’d worked on the repair took several hours, but I didn’t charge for all of them as I’m learning 🙂
I should add that the new screen was shipped from China and took about a week to arrive, but we could have paid a bit more to get one from UK. In this particular instance the time to repair the device wasn’t important to the customer so we went for the cheapest option (they’re all the same item and quality anyway)
