A customer had a length of post-and-wire fencing, and wanted it moved from one piece of land to another. What you see here is therefore second-hand materials (although more fence came out than went back in again, so we got to choose which posts to re-use)
Here are some photos of it in it’s new position. I charged £40 for the length shown in the photo, which includes a small dog-leg section. (which you can’t see because it’s at 90° to the photo).
Not the best job in the world, although it’s the first bit of fencing I’ve done. I think If I were to do this again I’d knock the posts in a bit further (see right), although in this case it wasn’t overly critical as the fence is only for boundary purposes, it’s eventually going to be hidden with some hedging.
As I didn’t have one, I even made a heavy duty post driver for myself, somewhat over-engineered !
